Traralgon Marathon and Running Festival 2026 – Terms and Conditions

Before submitting your entry, please take a few moments to carefully read the terms and conditions below.

These aren’t the usual items you skip over and click “okay”!

It’s important to be aware of our withdrawal policy, cut-off dates, and other key conditions that ensure the event runs smoothly for everyone involved.

1. Withdrawing from the event

If you wish to withdraw from the event, a $30 withdrawal administration fee will be deducted from your refund.

Why is there a withdrawal fee? This is standard across all major running events, and factors in the significant amount of administration, time, volunteer effort and sunk costs (printing bibs, timing chips, ordering medals, permits and much more) we put into every entry.

The withdrawal fee is mandatory and no exceptions will be made due to injury, illness, personal circumstance or any other reason.

Withdrawal conditions:

  • Your request must be submitted in writing to contact@traralgonmarathon.org.au

  • The request must be received no later than Sunday, 31 May 2026

  • Your refund will be processed no later than Monday, 13 July 2026

  • STRICTLY NO REFUNDS AFTER Sunday, 31 May 2026. No communication will be entered into after this date

2. General Entry Conditions and Participant Agreement

  • By entering the event, you confirm that you are medically and physically fit to participate

  • Entries are non-transferable and non-deferrable (i.e. can’t be transferred to another runner, or another year)

  • All competitors must follow the approved course and abide by all instructions provided at the race brief

  • The race organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into – this applies to all matters related to timing, placegetters, disqualifications, prohibited outside assistance or equipment, or any matters deemed by the race organiser to not be in accordance with recognised race protocols and safety

  • The race organisers reserve the right to make changes to the event course, schedule, or other logistics if required due to safety, weather, or unforeseen circumstances

  • In the highly unlikely event of cancellation due to extreme weather, natural disaster, or circumstances beyond the organiser’s control, refunds may not be possible once event costs have been incurred.

3. Indemnity and Disclaimer

By entering this event you acknowledge and accept that you indemnify Traralgon Harriers Athletic Club Inc and its officers from all claims arising out of any act or omission of the club and its officers.

This applies to all associated parties for the event, including Traralgon Harriers Athletics Club and its affiliated body Athletics Victoria, its committee and any volunteers, including medical and paramedical personnel appointed for the event, and the owners, licensees and occupiers of land upon which the event is held.

This indemnity extends to but is not limited to claims for negligence and/or breach of contract. It extends to but is not limited to injury or loss of possessions due to your participation.

4. Thank You

Thank you for taking the time to read these terms and conditions carefully. The Traralgon Marathon and Running Festival is proudly organised by volunteers from the Traralgon Harriers Athletic Club — a community club dedicated to promoting running, fitness, and friendship.

By understanding and respecting these conditions, you’re helping ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable event for everyone involved.

We can’t wait to see you on the start line!
